Plan - Do - Observe - Reflect involves an on-going cycle of “plan-do-observe-reflect-plan” in projects.

The ‘observe’ and ‘reflect’ steps in this cycle, between action and planning, are frequently missed. Observing involves monitoring project actions and progress toward solving the problem. Reflecting involves evaluating if actions are supporting development of solutions. Plans can then be revised accordingly.

This cycle of “plan-do-observe-reflect-plan” allows the direction of projects to adapt to changing circumstances based on regular observation and reflection on progress. It also enables projects to more quickly seize new opportunities for achieving success.
